Get Prepared is the Indiana Department of Homeland Security’s campaign that is all about keeping Hoosiers safe, secure and resilient. The idea behind the Get Prepared mobile app is to grant users access to vital information, stored locally, on their smartphone. This safety information ranges from simple safe web-browsing tips to critical emergency information such as how to stop a wound that is bleeding severely.
In the event of a disaster that knocks out the cellar network while a user is away from home, this app can help Hoosiers stay prepared for what might come next due to the locally stored information. Full development of the app has not yet started but what you see here is the result of research and user testing applied to a working prototype.
